Privacy Policy

Cutlab Inc. (“Cutlab,” “we,” or “us”) builds tooling for filmmakers to direct AI-generated video. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to cutlab.dev and any subdomain such as docs.cutlab.dev.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. When you use the Composer we store your scripts, beats, frames, timeline metadata, and exported renders so you can resume a project later.

If you connect a FAL.ai or ElevenLabs API key, we encrypt that key at rest and use it only to dispatch generation calls on your behalf. Cutlab does not mint, store, or share usage receipts from those providers beyond what the provider returns to your account.

2. How we use information

We use your information to operate the Composer, render and store your projects, bill your subscription, send transactional email about your account, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

3. AI provider routing

Generation requests are routed to the provider you select per shot — for example FAL.ai for image and video, ElevenLabs for voice. Each provider processes the prompt and reference assets under its own terms; Cutlab acts as a routing layer and does not retain raw provider payloads beyond what is needed to render your timeline.

4. Storage and retention

Project assets are stored in Cloudflare R2 under your workspace. Free trial workspaces are retained for 90 days after expiry. Paid workspaces are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 60 days, after which assets are permanently deleted.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for session management and lightweight product analytics. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out of Cutlab.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of your account data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account by emailing team@cutlab.dev. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
